Why question?
Humans ask questions to solve problems, to make sense of the world around them, and to ignite change. Questioning is what allows us to move forward, to advance. FAQ: Fearlessly Asked Questions explores the process of inquiry – question formation and the search for answers. The exhibition highlights significant questions asked throughout history and across disciplines and genres. No single field is responsible for posing questions; advancement in society occurs when creative thinkers dare to challenge the status quo.
In this exhibition, the process of inquiry is divided into two main sections within connected gallery spaces. In the first gallery, questions asked throughout history are separated into five categories. Each category is meant to be a journey for visitors, moving from distant and historical questions to those of a more contemporary and personal nature.
Asking is only the initial step of the process. The second gallery explores the search for answers. While there is no set formula for finding solutions, we highlight the use of literature, collaboration, and reflection as valuable approaches to enlightenment.
Viewed as a whole, FAQ: Fearlessly Asked Questions aims not to provide all the answers, but to open eyes, spark conversations, and encourage contemplation. Question fearlessly – knowing that the answers that generate progress stem from brave curiosity. As Immanuel Kant implores: “Dare to be wise!”
